Next Step Independent Living LLC is a developing structured housing program committed to helping individuals successfully transition toward stability, accountability, and independent living. We recognize that structured, stable, and affordable housing are essential foundations for reducing recidivism, promoting accountability, encouraging self-sufficiency, and helping individuals rebuild productive lives within the community.
Who We Serve
Next Step Independent Living serves individuals who are seeking a safe, stable, and structured environment as they transition toward greater independence and self-sufficiency. Our program is designed to support:
*ReEntry Individuals
Men and women returning to the community after incarceration often face significant barriers to housing, employment, and stability. We provide structured housing opportunities that help reduce homelessness, support accountability, and encourage successful reintegration into society.
*Veterans
Many veterans experience challenges related to housing instability, financial hardship, social isolation, or transitioning back into civilian life. We aim to provide a respectful and supportive living environment that honors their service while helping them regain stability and independence.
*Seniors
Older adults on fixed incomes or facing life transitions may struggle to secure affordable and dependable housing. Our shared living environment offers a safer, more affordable option that promotes dignity, stability, and community support.

We welcome communication from reentry departments, parole and probation professionals, case managers, chaplains, veteran support organizations, community partners, and families seeking structured housing options.
Referral Information May Include:
- Name and contact information
- Release or transition date
- Veteran or reentry status
- Income or benefit status
- Medical, mobility, or care considerations
- Parole/probation requirements, if applicable
Transportation- Connecting residents to transportation options for appointments, work, and required obligations.
Food- Helping individuals identify food pantries, community meals, and nutrition support resources.
Employment- Encouraging employment readiness, job search support, and community workforce connections.
Non Medical Care - “While we do not provide medical or clinical care services, we help connect individuals with non-medical community resources that may support daily living, housing stability, employment readiness, transportation, food access, and other supportive needs.”
